Before hiking in the mountains toexperience the beauty of nature, you must prepare in advance, and while hiking,you must remain cautious of your own safety. Only then can you preventaccidents in the mountains!

Five measures for responding toaccidents in the mountains:

1.In the event of an accident, call119 or 112 for help immediately.
2.The injuredshould be treated with simple bandages, splints, and means for stoppingbleeding. Also, make sure that the injured are kept warm to prevent hypothermia.
3.When you are lost or when theweather changes suddenly, you should find a safe place to take shelter and setup clear and noticeable signs; if it is approaching nighttime, you should spendthe night where you are out in the open to avoid deviating from the correct path.
4.The team leader should calm theemotions of team members when needed and should ration out the food and waterto buy time for rescue.
5.When calling for help, it is best to use aglobal positioning system (GPS) device, satellite phone (mobile phone), or mapto inform the search and rescue team of your coordinates. When the search andrescue team approaches your location, you can wave easily visible clothing,activate a smoke signal, or blow a whistle (or yell to respond) to attracttheir attention.
