2020.12.10

Who are the groups of people thatneed high degrees of fire prevention?

Seniors→ Seniors frequently usestoves or electrical appliances. They are at increased risk for fire accidentsas it is easy for them to forget to turn off stoves or electrical applianceswhen leaving in the middle of or after usage, and their aged physiologicalfunctions make it difficult for them to survive.
Children→ Children's curiosityabout adults' actions can lead to the desire to copy and learn how to uselighters or matches like adults. These ignition tools are easy to use; evenyoung children can easily light a fire with them. Also, children don't understandthe dangers of fire, even while being very curious about it. During winter, summer vacations, and long weekends, children are particularly more likely tobe inadequately supervised as they are home for longer periods of time. Theyoften sneakily play with fire while parents aren't watching or are not present, and this leads to fires.

2.Regularly teach children about thedangers of fire and how fires start. Also, use news reports on fire accidentsas opportunities to help children understand that playing with fire can start afire and lead to the injury or death of family members.
3.Parents should be careful not touse ignition devices like lighters or matches in front of children, so thatthey don't copy those actions.
4.Store ignition devices out of thereach of children.
5.Parents must not leave theirchildren alone at home.
