- National warnings: Warnings forlarge-scale disasters in which the public may be in immediate danger.
- Emergency warnings: Warnings fordisasters where the public may be in danger.
- Warning messages: Warnings fordisasters/events that the public has time to prepare for taking refuge andthose that are closely related to their lives
- Monthly test messages: CellBroadcast system test messages that are turned off by default and can be turnedon by users when needed.
3. Why can’t I receive warningmessages on my cell phone?
The reason why you cannot receivewarning messages on your cell phone may be because…
- You were talking on the phone whenthe warning messages were sent.
- You were using the 3G internet ofyour cell phone when the warning messages were sent.
- Your cell phone is set to the flightmode.
- Yourcell phone has special settings such as “do not receive alert notifications/emergency warnings/test messages.”
- Your cell phone firmware is notupdated and is not equipped to receive Cell Broadcast messages.
4. How do I receive disasterprevention warning-related Cell Broadcast messages?
No registrations or appinstallations are required on your part; all cell phones that meet themessage-receiving requirements will receive the messages.
