Prevent Electrical Fires
Follow the following principles toprevent electrical fires
1. Do not overload power use. Donot use too many electrical appliances on the same outlet or extension cord.
2. Do not tie the power cord,place under heavy weight or damage the insulation,anddo not place in a location with high temperature. Maintain good use habits forelectrical appliances.
3. The plug should not be damp ordamaged; reducing dampness reduces collection of dirt and the possibility ofshort circuiting.
4. Appliances should be plugged infirmly when in use. Unplug appliances when not in use.
5. Do not place combustiblematerials around the electrical appliance; especially avoid placing alcohol,grease, and other easily combustible items near electrical appliances.
6. Only use products that havepassed BSMI inspection and been labeled with the “Commodity Inspection Mark.”Before beginning to use a product, be sure to read the instruction manual anddo proper maintenance.
Pay attention to the warning signsof an electrical fire
1. Light bulb turning dark,flickering, or immediately breaking.
2. The power cord is hot.
3. There is a smell of burnt wire.
4. No FuseBreaker (NFB) trips frequently.
