Taiwan is a place at high risk of natural disasters. About 90% of our land and population are exposed to the threats of more than three natural disasters, such as typhoons, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, debris flows, and other generated compound disasters. Our risks for these natural disasters rank first in the world. Nevertheless, as long as we understand the causes of various disasters, establish good disaster prevention concepts, and respond correctly, we can still protect our lives and property.
